Each year, 325,000 people in the United States die from “sudden cardiac death”, a condition that occurs when the heart’s electrical system malfunctions. This condition contributes to HALF of all heart disease deaths.

ProMedica Cardiologist Todd Monroe, MD, FACC, says it is possible to survive sudden cardiac death when the right steps are taken immediately. ProMedica HealthConnect Correspondent Chrys Peterson talks with local business owner Kevin Sieja, who was lucky to survive this condition thanks to his wife’s immediate help.
