One in five people experience a mental health issue each year in the United States. Yet the stigma of mental illness still contributes to individuals not seeking the care that they need. Some of the most common mental illnesses include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD; which is why ProMedica HealthConnect is doing a 5-part series to talk about these illnesses.
In this video, Bushra Qureishi, MD, from Harbor Behavioral Health, an affiliate of ProMedica, talks with HealthConnect correspondent Chrys Peterson about the symptoms and treatment for depression.
