While having smelly feet can be the source of gentle ribbing from family members and loved ones, sometimes foot odor can mean something more serious. David Witt, DPM, a podiatrist with ProMedica Physicians, says conditions such as ingrown toe nails, ulcers on the foot and fungal infections can all cause a foul odor.
