How a Komen-Funded Mammogram Saved One Woman’s Life

Each year thousands of people walk, run and spectate at the annual Northwest Ohio Komen Race for the Cure. Twenty-five percent of the money raised goes to national research to find a cure, but 75% of the money stays in our community to pay for breast screenings and other services for women who are uninsured or underinsured. Kit Curran is one of those women. A mammogram funded through Komen helped to save her life.

In this video, ProMedica HealthConnect correspondent Chrys Peterson shows us how ProMedica and NW Ohio Komen work together to save lives.
