It’s hard to stick to a healthy diet during the holiday season, especially if your schedule includes holiday parties with tempting treats.
The indulgence may be strongest during this season but Cara Derck, DO, ProMedica Physicians, says that a healthy lifestyle starts with being food conscious throughout the year. “Enjoy your treats during the holidays, but always in moderation,” she recommends. “If you think of diet throughout the year and don’t deprive yourself of the occasional treat, you are much more likely to stick with your diet long-term.”
