Exercise and physical activity have many benefits on your health – from reducing your risk of obesity and chronic diseases, to increasing your energy and improving your mental well-being. But in a busy world of deadlines and never-ending to-do lists, it can be difficult to find time to go to a gym or even work out at home. Fortunately, you don’t need to devote hours of your time to exercise to reap its benefits. Even a few minutes every day can make a big difference in your overall health.
This winter, ProMedica Wildwood Athletic Club is introducing a fun, unique challenge to help both members and nonmembers more easily include exercise into their daily routines. It’s called the Wildwood 25 for 25 Challenge and involves 25 days of 25-minute moderate to high-intensity exercise.
Each day during the challenge (except for Saturdays and Sundays), participants will receive an email with a new workout, along with videos demonstrating some of the more challenging movements in each routine.
Here’s a sneak peek of the moves featured in the upcoming fitness challenge, explained by group exercise coordinator, Sommer Vriezelaar.
The Wildwood 25 for 25 Challenge begins January 12 and runs through February 13. The cost is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers. Sign up includes daily text reminders and a special t-shirt, once you complete the challenge. To register or learn more, please email Sommer.Vriezelaar@ProMedica.org or call the club at 419-539-0235.
