I am not immune to sugar cravings. In fact, I often wish that sweets and desserts were a food group with the nutritional value of vegetables. But alas, they are not. So I have come up with a few quick, easy, and healthier recipes for you to follow to give in to the sugar cravings without all the guilt.
Here’s the first one — Peach Frozen Yogurt. Watch the video below for a quick look at how I whip up this healthy treat using peach yogurt, vanilla protein powder and frozen peaches. Peach Frozen Yogurt
In a blender combine:
- 16 ounce bag of frozen peaches (or 1 pound of fresh peaches)
- 1 small (5.3 ounce) container of light Greek peach yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 scoop of HMR vanilla protein powder (or other vanilla low-sugar protein powder)
Serve immediately or, if using fresh peaches, place in freezer until set.
Serves 4. Per serving:
0.5 grams fat
7 grams protein
15 grams total carbohydrate
1.5 grams fiber
12 grams sugar
